Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina (OSNC) has partnered with North Wake County Baseball Association (NWCBA) for the upcoming fall season. OSNC training personnel will be on site for tournaments and events throughout the season at the NWCBA complex.

NWCBA is a non-profit organization that has been in operation for more than 30 years and has held a clear mission of providing positive and memorable baseball experiences for young players in the Triangle area. NWCBA’s goal is to optimize player development through quality practice and age appropriate competitive playing environments through leagues and travel team opportunities.

OSNC is the Triangle’s premier sports medicine provider and the area’s only baseball subspecialist. Galland is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine, practicing in Wake Forest and North Raleigh. He serves as team physician and orthopaedic consultant to the Carolina Mudcats, the Advanced A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball team, medical director and orthopaedic consultant to the Louisburg College Athletic Program and as team physician and orthopaedic consultant to several area high schools.

“OSNC is excited to partner and support NWCBA, the premier baseball organization in Eastern North Carolina,” said Galland. “We look forward to many years of success in our combined efforts to support the growth of youth baseball and the young athletes of the Triangle region.”

Dr. Mark Galland, a physician at Orthopaedic Specialists of North Carolina (OSNC), has awarded Wake Forest Rolesville High School graduate Sherri Smith a scholarship in the amount of $1000. The scholarship was presented on July 23 to the incoming North Carolina State University freshman at OSNCs Wake Forest office, located at 847 Wake Forest Business Park in Suite 202.

Galland, who currently serves as the Wake Forest Rolesville team physician and orthopaedic consultant, chose to award Smith because she demonstrated aptitude and interest in pursuing a career in sports medicine or a health-related field.
